Sugar Patisserie is a patron favorite here at the Langley Community Farmer’s Market! They are a local fine dessert company based right in Cloverdale, near the main intersection of 176th and 64th. At Sugar Patisserie, the staff wanted to bring the quality of a fine Downtown style shop out to the Fraser Valley. And they did just that.
Owner and Pastry chef, Caitlin Mayo opened up Sugar Patisserie in 2010 after making the jump from hobbyist to professional by attending pastry school at VCC in 2006. As a Red Seal Certified Baker, Caitlin had a huge hunger for learning more about the art of baking so she attempted to challenge her skills even further by competing in a number of pastry competitions. Of her many achievements in this industry, one includes being the Canadian representative for pastry in the 2009 world skills competition.
On the menu board at Sugar Patisserie, you will find a wide assortment of decadent, delicious, baked goods and pastries including macarons, specialty cakes, wedding cakes, tortes, mousse cakes, butter cream cakes and the list goes on. Caitlin’s work can also be found in many print articles, websites and blogs because she loves to collaborate with other industry professionals in styled shoots, showcasing her beautiful and masterful cake baking and decorating skills.
I have had the pleasure of sampling Sugar Patisserie’s goodies and have not been one bit disappointed…they are super yummy!! Pop on over to the shop or come by the Market Wednesdays 12:00 – 4:30 and pick up some yummy baked goods for yourself!
