Langley Eats Local
Langley Eats Local is an annual celebration of the bounty of our region featuring a fantastic lineup of local vendors, from produce to breads, cheeses and jams, berries and wines. Join us to celebrate our local farmers and producers, who care for this delicious array of ingredients all the way from the field to your plate.
Take the Challenge
July 26th to August 2nd
Festivities kick off with the Eat Local Challenge, where community members pledge to source as much of their food as possible from local producers. Support local farmers by sourcing foods that were grown and processed locally – or use what’s growing in your own backyard and exercise your skills in your own kitchen. Take the Challenge to embark on a guided exploration of all our region has to offer with helpful emails pointing to resources in your own neighbourhood. Or, take this as a chance to show off the expertise you already possess!
Whatever your motivation, every participant receives a goodie-bag to thank you for their dedication – with chances to win bigger prizes by documenting your week on social media – so yes, please do Instagram your breakfast for a whole week!

Join Us August 2nd
At the Langley Community Farmers Market, 12:00-4:30pm
This year promises more fun than ever, with all kinds of activities for the whole family. While younger kids dig for potatoes and hunt for ‘eggs’ and their older siblings follow a scavenger hunt around the market – those with more adult tastes can sample a selection of appetizers created by Langley localvore chef, Adrian Beaty, for just $5. (Tickets for the sampling will be sold in advance at the Farmers Market starting July 12th, with any unsold tickets available at the event.) And don’t forget the food and craft vendors at every turn, farm resources and activities, and tasty prizes to be won!
We hope to see you at the Langley Community Farmers Market – Wednesday, August 2nd!
